www.sportsnationvideo.com/ld-02676a.html In this DVD, Coach Arteaga presents pitching fundamentals and drills. The first drill illustrated is the laying down drill. This drill teaches the set up and center finish. The knee drill concentrates on the upper half of the body. The stride drill brings the player to a standing position, where the coach analyzes specific teaching points. The balance drill creates feel and body control for pitchers. The chair drill stresses an open upper and lower half of the pitcher’s body. Another chair drill places the player in from of the chair and teaches a strong front side and hip to knee motion. A similar drill, chair extension, keeps the knee at a 90-degree angle. On the mound, Arteaga teaches the art of playing from the stretch. Working from the wind up is also taught. Practical, fundamental drills can teach players balance, technique and skill. All of the drills in this excellent presentation will help develop well-rounded, fundamental pitchers. 43 minutes. 2006.
Im thinking of pursuing baseball and i want to be the best im ready for the commitment but im getting discouraged because im not sure how much all the drills all the working out etc etc is going to make me better.
I’m playing baseball this year and I wanna be a huge improvement from last year so I wanna train all through winter. Any good drills I could do. INdoors preferrably but give me some outdoor drills too for the spring.
I play high school baseball in northern Vermont where there’s still tons of snow, know any drills I can do indoors to get ready for the season, I’ve been keeping active all winter I’d like technique things to get the rust off.
